For over 25 years, Dr. Peter Uggowitzer, a board-certified Family Physician, has served the population of Hampstead, Maryland, and the surrounding area, with high-quality medical care.  He is the sole owner of Carroll Family Medicine, a traditional Family Medicine practice, where he and his dedicated staff are committed to providing comprehensive care to people of all ages.

Dr. Uggowitzer grew up in Montreal, Canada and earned both an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and a Medical Degree at McGill University, a prestigious Canadian university.  He then completed a residency program at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where during his final year he served as the Chief Resident. After completing his training, and marrying his wife Robin, Dr. Uggowitzer returned to Canada and worked for four years in a busy, rural practice in Campbellford, Ontario.  During his time there he also served as the chief of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at Campbellford Memorial Hospital.

In 1994 Dr. Uggowitzer and his family returned to the United States and settled in Hampstead, Maryland.  In addition to using his extensive knowledge and experience to serve his patients in private practice, Dr. Uggowitzer has maintained an active relationship with Carroll Hospital Center in nearby Westminster, Maryland.  Over the years he has maintained both active and consulting privileges, worked in the Emergency Department and served two terms as Chairman of the Family Practice Department. 

As part of his practice, Dr. Uggowitzer offers his patients a wide range of services including the management of chronic medical conditions, Geriatric care, behavioral and mental health consultations, and most recently aesthetic care.  He performs minor surgeries, such as the repairs of open wounds, mole and skin tag removals, and cryotherapy to treat warts and other skin conditions. He also provides corticosteroid joint and soft tissue injections to ease pain and manage arthritis.

When Dr. Uggowitzer is not serving patients at Carroll Family Medicine you can find him enjoying his time with his wife and two sons.
